Local history enthusiasts can delve into the history of Waltham and New Waltham during a one-day exhibition on Friday, August 19.
Artefacts, photographs and maps from the North East Lincolnshire Archives and Grimsby Local History Library will be on display at All Saints Church in Waltham, including documents relating to local schools, public houses, churches, the Admiralty Wireless Station and RAF Waltham.
This exhibition will give visitors a deep insight into the history of Waltham and New Waltham.
It’s part of a wider project called Streets and Their Stories, which brings a series of reminiscence roadshows to local people, providing the opportunity to browse, talk and share their stories.Adrian Wilkinson Archivist, Lincs Inspire
Adrian added: “One of the aims of the project is to capture people’s memories of local events, so we are looking forward to meeting anyone who has a story connected with the area.”
The exhibition is free and takes place from 10am to 4pm at All Saints Church Waltham.
