The No.9 Bus to Utopia

News |

SONY-Award winning broadcaster for BBC Radio 3 and 4 comes to Cleethorpes Library to perform a new uplifting show that tells tales of his global adventure.

After his partner left him for someone she described as ‘younger, but more mature’, British author, musician, performer and broadcaster, David Bramwell, set himself the task to be a more sharing and loving person.

Taking a year off, he embarked on a global adventure, visiting an anarchist haven in the heart of Copenhagen, a futuristic eco-city in the Arizona desert and an underground temple in the Italian Alps (to name a few).

Inspired by his adventures he returned home with a desire to change. Not just himself but also his neighbourhood.

Find out how he succeeded at The No. 9 Bus to Utopia, a funny and uplifting show that asks some big questions and finds the answers surprisingly simple!

The whole trip I found inspiring, the people I met were amazing. This is not a show about belittling these individuals or alternative ideas, but celebrating and sharing them because we live in an age in which depression and anxiety is rife, particularly amongst those that live in isolation in cities and towns. And this is a show that tries to offer some solutions.
