Small Miles Make Big Smiles

Lace up your walking boots is the message from Lincs Inspire, as this week sees the launch of a new free health walk in Cleethorpes.

The weekly walk forms part of the Active Seniors programme, offering gentle forms of exercise suitable for people over 55 and those managing long term health conditions.

Led by a fully qualified Sports Coach, the group will meet weekly on Thursdays at 9:30am at the Thorpe Park car park that joins to the Meridian walkway.

The wellbeing walk will bring people from all walks of life together to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of exercise, whilst enjoying the fantastic scenery we have on our doorstep here in Cleethorpes.

The walk is free and no booking is required – just turn up. In the event of adverse weather, Grimsby Leisure Centre can be contacted on (01472) 323100 to confirm the walk is taking place.

Other weekly activities available as part of Active Seniors include Tai Chi, New Age Kurling, Over 50s Badminton, Walking Netball and Chorus and a Cuppa.

Full activity listings are available on our What's On page.
