Centres Set 'Prime' Example

Lincs Inspire leisure centre’s have recently achieved a ‘Very Good’ rating following a robust assessment by Sport England’s leading national quality scheme, Quest.

Grimsby and Cleethorpes Leisure Centre’s underwent a Quest Prime assessment soon after reopening from a temporary closure due to covid. The new ‘prime’ assessment has been set up by Quest in response to the current climate, helping leisure centres to prove they have sufficient processes and procedures in place to minimise the risk of transmission of Covid-19 within their buildings.

Both centres underwent an evaluation from an external assessor who considered a raft of measures including safety and hygiene and commitment to service standards, as well as mystery shopper visits.

The Quest assessments are notoriously challenging. It is an achievement to succeed at any quest level, so to get two ‘very good’ ratings, is testament to the hard work and commitment from our teams.

Euan added: “These assessments were undertaken at a challenging time when we had to change many of our operations to meet strict covid guidelines. Given the current climate, Quest have rightly put into place new standards of achievement, and it’s useful to have an external expert reviewing our measures.

“I am proud of the teams for the work they continue to put in to ensure our customers have a great experience and we will continue to work hard and make improvements to develop and grow.”
