Selfie with Her Majesty!

As the countdown to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee begins, Lincs Inspire Libraries are bringing the community together with a range of activities and events to celebrate.

Life-sized cardboard cut-outs of Her Majesty will offer a unique photo opportunity across all library branches. Meanwhile, Memory Books will encourage reminiscence, as members of the public are invited to share their very own recollections of Royalty.

An exhibition featuring local history images of Royal visits to the area will take place at Cleethorpes Library during library opening hours, as well as an opportunity to watch a film of the Coronation. There will also be an exhibition at Grant Thorold Park on Saturday, June 4, 11am to 4pm.

The Platinum Jubilee is a great opportunity for the community to come together in joint celebration of 70 years of service of the first ever British Monarch.

Pin the jewel on the crown at our Jubilee themed children’s groups, have a cuppa and reminisce at the relaunch of Memory Lane, or call in for a selfie with Her Majesty! There’s something for everyone!
