Libraries Week (Oct 3-9)

News |

Lincs Inspire Libraries will celebrate their support to all generations during Libraries Week (Oct 3-9) and anyone under 18 months signing up for a library card will be gifted a free t-shirt (whilst stocks last!).

Libraries Week is annual celebration of the nation's much-loved libraries. An action-packed week of events are set to take place across Cleethorpes, Grimsby, Immingham and Waltham Libraries.

Activities include a talk from best-selling author T.M. Logan, a Creative Writing workshop and ‘Boogie, Books and a Brew’ – a movement and reminiscence session for over 60s.

A free IT taster session, health check and adult craft session will also take place.

Libraries Week is organised by CILIP, the library and information association. This year’s message is ‘never stop learning’, highlighting the role library services play in helping to unlock potential at every stage of life.

We hope Libraries Week will bring the community together to find out more about how we can support lifelong learning. We have a wide range of resources to borrow in many formats, as well as access to countless digital resources, including eBooks, eAudio, eMagazines and eNewspapers via Libby, our free library App. Everyone is welcome and the library is free to join.
