Lincs Inspire Limited is a local charity working across Lincolnshire and delivering a wide range of sports, leisure and cultural services. The charity also has a trading subsidiary, Lincs Inspire Venues & Enterprises Limited. There is a new opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join the company’s head office in Grimsby to manage the finance team and support a wider operational management team by carrying out a wide range of financial management and accounting functions such as: 

• Operational responsibility for budgeting and management accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable including credit control, financial accounting, treasury functions and banking arrangements.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting P&L account / balance sheet.
• Manage the charity’s annual cash flow forecast for the current and following financial year.
• Control and development of financial ledgers and accounting processes.
• Support the preparation of year end accounts, working papers and associated reconciliations to support both internal and external audit processes.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.

Working closely with the Finance Director and operational service managers, the post holder will be a fully qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA), or in the latter stages of studying towards full qualification, and will support the delivery of financial services across all aspects of the charity and its trading subsidiary.

The role will require flexibility and a hands on approach, through the effective management of a small finance team you will have the opportunity to directly contribute to the charity’s future success and the difference it can make within our local communities.

Casual / Freelance Positions

Location: Whisby Natural World Centre
£18,396 per annum (pro rata based on 40 hours FTE) £8.82 per hour

The Whisby Natural World Centre (WNWC) is looking for a Casual Café Bistro Assistant to ensure all customers receive a friendly and efficient service from any of the company catering outlets and facilities.
The main responsibilities will include:

  • Regularly support the delivery of catering facilities at specific events both internal and external. This may include corporate meetings, children’s parties, family functions, presentations, sports and leisure activities, etc.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience, including front of house meet and greet, customer venue familiarisation and occasional waiter/waitressing services.
  • There will a requirement to handle cash and be able to balance cash using a till system on a daily and weekly basis, and to complete relevant paperwork to ensure that all accounts balance at the end of shift. 
Successful applicants must have experience of:
  • Catering / Bar / Retail and Front of House environments.
  • Cash handling and use of tills/credit and debit card facilities.
  • Front facing customer services.

The overall purpose of the role is to deliver sporting and physical activities that meet the needs of target groups contributing to an overall increase in participation locally. The programme may include coaching, leading or facilitating sporting activities based within a variety of community settings. 
Successful applicants must have experience in:

  • Working in sports development or a related field.
  • Organising and implementing delivery of sport sessions for people of all ages and abilities.
  • Delivering a range of sports to all ages and abilities including children, young people, adults, elderly and disabled.
