Bikeability is the 21st Century Cycle Proficiency. The Level 1 is a playground based training course after which successful participants progress to Level 2, on-the-road training, to include starting and stopping, junctions, safe riding positions and teaches participants to be confident and assertive in light traffic situations such as the journey to and from school. All our staff are fully qualified in Bikeability, first aid and safeguarding and have other ancillary qualifications and are experienced with delivering Bikeability. We offer cycle confidence courses for those learning to ride a bike or who feel they would like to brush up their skills on a bike off road.
Level 3 training is aimed at cyclists who may need to navigate heavier traffic such as town centre, roundabouts and multiple carriageways. We have delivered this training to secondary ages pupils, adults who cycle to work as part of corporate events and also to council departments who require use of a bicycle for their duties.
