Cleethorpes Library to support Samaritans ‘Brew Monday’
Get together for a cuppa, chat and sing along at Cleethorpes Library on January 20th at 11:15am to 12:15pm, as the weekly singing group ‘Chorus and a Cuppa’ supports national charity Samaritans ‘Brew Monday’ campaign.
Brew Monday aims to help people manage the ups and downs of life through encouraging good conversation over a cuppa. Chorus and a Cuppa will be supporting this by providing the means for people to get together and sing in a relaxed environment.
The group is inclusive of everyone, including those managing long term health conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The ability to read music or have any previous experience in singing is not required.
Caroline Moorby, Arts Development Officer, Lincs Inspire said: “We’re delighted to be supporting this really worthwhile cause, which will bring people from the community together. Since launching last year, our singing group has developed a loyal following of members who really look forward to their weekly sing along. We’re always looking for new members so hopefully Brew Monday can provide the opportunity for people to join us.”
Chorus and a Cuppa takes place every Monday at 11:15am to 12:15pm at Cleethorpes Library and costs £3 per person. On January 20th, £1 from each person will be donated to Samaritans. For more information call Lincs Inspire’s Art Development Team on (01472) 323435.
