Chorus and a Cuppa

Due to the popularity of our pilot communal singing project Chorus and a Cuppa, initially funded by proceeds from February’s FIT TO PARTY charity event, we are happy to announce the group has now become a permanent weekly fixture.

Artists performed so far include The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Abba, as well as songs from The Sound of Music and Disney to name a few. In future weeks the group will be learning songs from the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman, before turning attentions to Christmas carols as we approach festive season.

Sarah Lowe, Performing Arts Coach, Lincs Inspire said:

“Since the group started back in April, everyone has shown such an improvement in their singing abilities and confidence. All of our choir look forward to meeting each week and it’s great to see friendships forming through such a therapeutic and rewarding activity! We’re a close group but always looking to welcome new members.”

Chorus and a Cuppa is aimed at everyone, including those managing long term health problems, such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The ability to read music or have any previous experience in singing is not required. The group takes place weekly on Mondays between 11:15am and 12:15pm and costs £3 per person.
