Adult Reading Challenge

Feed your imagination this autumn by taking part in our Libraries’ restaurant themed Adult Reading Challenge; reading a feast of five books to be in with a chance of winning a selection of cash and food prizes.

The Challenge, titled ‘Bookstock Bistro’, will take place between September 16 and November 16 and entail those taking part to borrow and read a selection of books that can include fiction or non-fiction, written or audio and span any interest or genre.

Upon registering, those taking part will be given a menu, which they can then use to guide their book selections. By reading one book to suit each of the five courses within the time frame, participants will be in with a chance of winning cash prizes up to the value of £25 and prizes donated by local businesses Spire Chocolates, Riverhead Coffee and Waltham Herbs.

“This summer has seen the very successful Space Chase children’s reading challenge - now the adults can have their turn with Bookstock Bistro. Whether you devour books or are just developing your appetite for reading, we hope you will take up the challenge and sample the wonderful fare available from our Libraries. You don’t need to already be a library member, it is free and easy to join and new members are always welcome.”

The Challenge is open to all aged over 16 years and older, and can be registered for at Cleethorpes, Grimsby, Immingham or Waltham Libraries. For more information visit
