Supporting National Lottery campaign #ThanksToYou

Issued: 21st November 2019

GET £2 off a public swim at Immingham Swimming Pool between November 23 to December 1 and at Grimsby Leisure Centre between November 25 to December 1 as part of the National Lottery #ThanksToYou campaign.

The promotion is part of The National Lottery’s 25th Birthday celebrations and venues and visitor attractions across the UK are saying #ThanksToYou to people who have raised money for good causes by buying a lottery ticket.

More than £40 billion has been raised for good causes by players over the past 25 years in the areas of arts, sport, heritage and community, some of which Lincs Inspire has been proud recipients of.

Ros Kerslake, Chief Executive of the National Lottery Heritage Lottery Fund, said:

“This year the National Lottery turns 25, and what better way to say thank you than offering special offers at some of the places that players have helped fund. It’s not only our wonderful heritage sites that are offering thanks - we also have free entry and special offers at National Lottery funded arts, sports and community attractions - all the places that make the UK such a great place to live.”

Sue Wells, Chief Executive, Lincs Inspire said:

“We’re incredibly grateful to the National Lottery and its players, who thanks to their ongoing support have enabled investments to be made is so many leisure, sports, arts and community facilities across the country. That’s why we are offering this discount to those with a National Lottery ticket - it’s a way of saying thank you to the people who have helped make this funding possible”.

Most recently, Lincs Inspire received £40,000 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, helping to contribute towards the launch of a local heritage project ‘Streets and Their Stories’, a two year project that will see Libraries, Arts and Archives teams work with the local community. Earlier in the year, The National Lottery Heritage Fund allocated £10,000 for Lincs Inspire Libraries to mark the First World War Centenary with a project called ‘Ruhleben Camp’ named after one of Berlin’s Civilian Internment Camps.
