Chorus and a Cuppa Launches!
Issued: April 8, 2019
Today marks the launch of our six week pilot communal singing project called Chorus and a Cuppa, with a crowded Albert Room at Cleethorpes Library singing along to The Beatles 'Let it Be' and Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling In Love'.
The project, funded by proceeds from February's FIT TO PARTY event, offers the opportunity for people in the local community to get together and sing in a relaxed environment, whilst enjoying a cup of tea and a chat.
Chorus and a Cuppa is led by Lincs Inspire’s Arts Development Team and is aimed at everyone, including those managing long term health problems, such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The ability to read music or have any previous experience in singing is not required. It will take place weekly on Mondays between 11:15am and 12:15pm for five more weeks, excluding bank holidays, with the possibility of it becoming part of our programme of regular weekly activities.
