An exhibition to mark the centenary of the 1918 armistice

An exhibition to mark the centenary of the 1918 armistice is taking place at Grimsby Town Hall on Tuesday, November 13.

War and Peace is a free exhibition featuring photographs, documents and artefacts relating to the story of the First World War on land, at sea and in the air.

Lincs Inspire Libraries will present a slide show of images relating to Ruhleben, an internment camp on the outskirts of Berlin which saw many British citizens, including men from the port of Grimsby who were residing in Germany prior to the First World War, imprisoned.

Other items on display are from the North East Lincolnshire Archive collection, managed by Lincs Inspire on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm.
