Festive Cheer in Libraries
Enjoy a Dickensian Christmas at Lincs Inspire Libraries this month with plenty of festivey fun featuring stories, musical performances and mince pies!
Each Lincs Inspire Library will be hosting a seasonal event in the lead-up to Christmas to say a festive thank you to all customers for their support throughout the year.
The events will include children’s and adult’s stories by the great Charles Dickens interspersed with performances of carols by “bookstock” – the library’s very own band! Everyone is welcome and events take place on:
- Wednesday, December 12 from 10am to 2pm at Grimsby Library
- Monday, December 17 from 10am to 2pm at Cleethorpes Library
- Tuesday, December 18 from 10:30am to 3pm at Waltham Library (break for lunch from 12:30pm to 1:30pm)
- Thursday, December 20 from 1:30pm to 4pm at Immingham Library
Lincs Inspire Libraries will be taking a break over the Christmas and New Year period from Sunday, December 23, re-opening on Wednesday, January 2. In addition the opening days for each branch will vary during the first week in the New Year. Notices are in each library and are listed on the website.
Customers are encouraged to make use of Lincs Inspire Libraries online and digital services giving them access to e-books either via the website or the free app, available from the Apple Store or Google Play.
The RBdigital platform is free to use for anyone with a Lincs Inspire Library card and also includes several other platforms specialising in same-day newspapers and magazines, adult learning and language tutorial programs. Search for the APP by entering “Lincs Inspire Libraries”.
To access the online service, library members need to have their library card and pin number. For help, please speak to a member of the library team.
