Sizzling Summer of Fun

Plan an active and fun-filled summer holiday with Lincs Inspire.

Issued: Monday, July 17th.

The local charity has launched its biggest summer programme to date with football courses, discos, dance classes and arts and crafts sessions among some of the children’s activities throughout July, August and September.

Many of the activities are structured to allow parents to drop-off their children, with some designed to entertain all the family together.

The ever-popular multi-sports activity days are taking place at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre on Wednesdays and Fridays as well as the week-long football courses at Bradley pitches.

New to the programme this year is a series of cycle skills sessions led by Lincs Inspire sports development team, who deliver Bikeability courses in schools during term-time. These sessions are for children who are just starting out or for those are want to develop more confidence on their bike.

Grimsby Leisure Centre also has a range of new activities including a Kidz Club , a Dance Disco, BigSmash! Badminton sessions and a number of activities for people with disabilities.
Crash course lessons in swimming are taking place at Immingham Swimming Pool as well as junior circuit classes and aqua run inflatable sessions.

Lincs Inspire Libraries are running their annual Summer Reading Challenge – a fun and entertaining way to keep the children reading over the summer holidays.

There is something for everyone. The jam-packed summer holiday brochures can be picked up from a Lincs Inspire leisure centre or library or viewed online.
