Aladdin - Junior Chorus Additions

Issued: Friday 9 September 2016

Youngsters wanted for a Magical Adventure at Grimsby Auditorium This Christmas

Youngsters from Grimsby and the surrounding areas will have the chance to prove they have the ‘x’ factor with open auditions for the Grimsby Auditorium panto on Wednesday 14 September.

This year’s spectacular family pantomime is Aladdin and the Auditorium are looking for children aged 9-16 to be part of the Junior Chorus for the show which opens on Friday 9 December 2016.

Those children who are successful in gaining a place in the show will be starring alongside former Coronation Street bad boy Nigel Pivaro, aka Terry Duckworth.

Steve Boden, from Imagine Theatre, who produce the show, says “We feel the open auditions are a really important part of the pantomime process as it is a wonderful way for the local community to get involved and it gives any child who wants to be part of the panto the opportunity to do so.”

“For any youngster who is thinking of going in to the entertainment business it is a great chance to work on a professional production and get a feel for exactly what it is like. Live theatre is a lot of hard work but great fun as well.”

Application forms and more information on the auditions can be downloaded from either or visiting or contacting the Grimsby Auditorium. The application forms do not need to be submitted in advance and will also be available on the day if required, although where possible please complete them in advance and bring with you to save time on audition day.

With the Auditorium panto growing in popularity over the last few years it is advised to book tickets early to ensure the seats and performance you would prefer.

Aladdin runs from Friday 9 December to Monday 26 December 2016.
