Local and family history workshops

Issued: Thursday 13 October 2016

If you are starting out with your family history research, have got stuck, or just want to find out more about the Library Local History Collection, why not come along to one of Lincs Inspire’s free weekly local and family history workshops?

During the sessions we will provide help with research using a variety of resources including: Maps, Census returns, Newspapers, Photographs, Directories, Cemetery Records, Parish Registers, Local history books and pamphlets and more.

Jennie Cartwright, Development Officer for Lincs Inspire, said: “The workshops are going to be very much dictated by the requirements of the people who attend the sessions. The workshops are informal and it’s not a course so people don’t need to attend every one.  They can dip in and out of them as they please!  The workshops provide the opportunity to showcase the different elements of our fantastic local history collection.”
