As part of the BBC’s #LovetoRead season James Hoggarth the BBC Radio Humberside presenter will be broadcasting live from Cleethorpes from 10am to 12 noon and hold a short reading in Cleethorpes Library from 12 noon on Saturday 5th November.

#LovetoRead is a BBC campaign for 2016, bringing together a range of leading literary partners to encourage reading for pleasure and to create a national conversation about books. The campaign aims to inspire audiences with programmes about great authors and their work, nationally, regionally and locally.

James Hoggarth, of BBC Radio Humberside, said: “It’s great in the age of e-readers to be able to celebrate books and libraries as they are so important.  The LovetoRead campaign aims to show how vital a modern day library is to a local community.”

Jennie Cartwright, Development Officer for Lincs Inspire Libraries, said: “We’re encouraging people to come along to Cleethorpes Library, pick their favourite book, take a selfie & upload it with the hashtag #LovetoRead and stick around to help James with his reading. Local author Kerry Drewery will also be in attendance, as well as members from a number of Lincs Inspire’s readers groups.”

Lincs Inspire will also be holding a #LovetoRead event at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November from 10am to 5pm. Where you can come along to Cleethorpes Leisure Centre with a copy of your favourite book, and pose for a pic in our giant deckchair, set in a desert island scene and share your preference.

So get thinking about your favourite read of all time and celebrate #LovetoRead season with Lincs Inspire.
