Wartime Memories Reminiscence Session

Issued: Friday 10 June 2016

In the lead up to Armed Forces Day join us for a wartime reminiscence session in which you are welcome to share or simply listen to recollections of the years that tested the will and strength of the nation.

The reminiscence session will be held at Waltham Library on Thursday 23 June from 2pm to 4pm and will be led by Christine Motley. Tell us about family memories - grandpas, grandmas, uncles. Help their memories to live on and if you build up a thirst from talking, there will be tea and biscuits to revive you.

Jennie Cartwright, Development Officer for Lincs Inspire Libraries, said: “Lincs Inspire Libraries are committed to working with the local community to improve health and wellbeing and help people to learn about their local heritage. Reminiscence sessions are a wonderful informal way to share memories and conversation with others and to look at items and photographs from days gone by.”

This event is free but places may be limited so please book in advance by contacting Waltham Library (01472) 323656 or email jennie.cartwright@lincsinspire.com.
