Tai Chi Sessions

Issued: Monday 30 August 2016

Lincs Inspire’s Sports Development Team are holding Tai Chi Shibashi style sessions at Bradley Football Development Centre starting on Monday 12th September.

The sessions are part of Lincs Inspire’s Active Seniors programme and run every Monday from 2pm to 3pm. The cost is £2 per session, with every 10th session free. Sessions are open to both men and women.

Tai Chi is a relaxed form of exercise which mainly focuses on breathing and relaxation. It’s a great way of staying active and improving mobility.

Tom Johnston, Sports Development Officer for Lincs Inspire, explained: “Tai Chi is a gentle and flowing exercise routine that is both a joy to do and deeply relaxing. The classes are also great for the participants to socialise and meet new people.”

We also have a number of alternative Tai Chi classes in local community settings with current vacancies:

  • Mondays from 11am to 12 noon at Scartho Library – starting 12th September.
  • Mondays from 12 noon to 1pm at The Warehouse in Grimsby – starting 3rd October.
  • Wednesdays from 11 am to 12 noon at Waltham Library – starting 14th September.
  • Thursdays from 4pm to 5pm at Corpus Christi Church in Cleethorpes - starting 29th September.

Lincs Inspire’s Active Seniors programme is proving a real success in helping the ageing population in North East Lincolnshire keep active, meet people and have fun.
