Have fun getting fit with your friends and come along to Lincs Inspire’s FIT TO PARTY 5 charity event at Grimsby Auditorium on Monday, February 25, from 6.00pm to 8.10pm.

Throw it back to the 80s and expect fun, fitness, flashing lights and a party atmosphere in three gigantic group exercise classes! Fancy dress is optional.

  • From 6pm to 6.40pm, Matt Beasley is leading the high energy BODYCOMBAT™ class.  Get fighting fit as you punch, kick and strike along to the music with this calorie burning workout.
  • From 6.45pm to 7.25pm, a gigantic Zumba™ class with Lesley Webb will be a fun and spicy hip swirling workout with music and moves from Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean. It's blend of music and choreographed routines will create a party atmosphere in no time.
  • Dance lovers can then get their glow sticks ready and bring a night out to their workout with Clubbercise® from 7.30pm to 8.10pm. Zoe Webb will lead the routines to club anthems from the 80s to today's hits. It’s a fun, easy-to-follow dance workout.

Both Zumba and Clubbercise are for those aged 14 or over, with BodyCombat for those aged 16 or over.

Gavin Johnstone, Fitness Development Manager, Lincs Inspire said: “Fit to Party is a fantastic opportunity to join many others in up to three fancy dress workouts.  Whether it be a compliment to your existing routine or maybe trying something new, Fit to Party is for EVERYONE! Come down and try it out, raise money and support our great causes and enjoy getting fit!”

FIT TO PARTY 5 costs £2 for one class, £3 for two classes or £5 for all three classes and can be booked at any Lincs Inspire leisure centre. All proceeds from the night will be split equally between Lincs Inspire and Care Plus Group.

Rachel McWilliam, Arts Development Officer, Lincs Inspire said: “The proceeds we receive from Fit to Party will go towards piloting a ‘Cuppa & A Chorus’ project locally, following its success with the National Centre for Early Music in York.  As the name suggests, the project will provide the opportunity for anyone to sing in a relaxed environment and enjoy a cup of tea, with a primary focus on improving wellbeing through communal singing”

Neil Cartwright, Trustee of the Care Plus Group Charitable Trust said: “We’d like to thank Lincs Inspire to sharing the proceeds of this event with the Care Plus Group Charitable Trust. The Charitable Trust was set up to provide additional support and resources to improve the lives of people and communities living in North East Lincolnshire, extending the work of Care Plus Group.  Proceeds will go directly back into local projects that work towards improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and groups in our community"
