Sports Development

Lincs Inspire Sports Development provide a wide range of initiatives and activities within community settings, schools and at outreach sites.

The Sports Development team work with a wide range of organisations such as National Governing Bodies, local organisations, sport clubs and schools to increase the participation levels in any form of physical activity.

They offer a wide range of activities such as generic sport based activities, tai chi, a range of dance options for all ages, new aged kurling and social inclusion based sport, as well as working with hard to reach groups such as young people at risk of offending.

Sports Development also work to deliver a programme of high quality school sessions including after school, lunchtime playground leaders and breakfast clubs in many sports and dance, curriculum upskilling programmes with teaching staff and also fully planned and assessed PPA lessons.

The team also delivers Bikeability across North East Lincolnshire to help improve road safety in the local authority area and beyond. During School holidays there is also a programme of holiday activities on offer with a range of sports on offer plus dance and arts and crafts also, some of these are held in our Leisure Centres and some others are held in local schools, all these activities are available for any young person aged 5+ to attend.

Corporate team building events can also be delivered depending on your company needs we can make this a bespoke package to suit. Support and guidance can also be given for working on local funding applications that help meet the needs of the local area with the overall aim of increasing the opportunity to take part in physical activity and sport.

Sports Development deliver several mass participation events throughout the year in partnership with North East Lincolnshire Council such as the Beach Soccer Festival and Cleethorpes Colour Run. Disability awareness sessions can be organised to introduce people to disability sports or raise awareness of them including use of our sports wheelchairs. Community Sports Coaches can be hired out to run activities for organisations such as community fairs, care homes, brownie or scout group activities or ladies social member groups for example. We might be able to offer a free taster to see if what we do suits your group with a view to setting up a long term weekly session.
